Pick-Me-Up Morning Shake

Happy Wednesday to you all! I cannot believe how quickly time is flying. Just a few days ago I looked at my calendar and was like, “How the HECK is it almost February already?” Seriously, weren’t we just celebrating Christmas a yesterday?! This thought could be due to the fact I refused to take down my decorations until the second week of January… judge me all you want.

Anyway, this week I wanted to share with you something I make every morning during the week. I am much too in love with my sleep to wake up early enough to make breakfast for my husband and I. Let’s be honest, I’m much too in love with sleep to not press “snooze” on my alarm at least once every morning. Who is ever excited to get out of bed anyway??

I have been making shakes in the mornings for some time now; however, the one I have been making the last few months is by far my favorite. It’s full of hearty vegetables, healthy oils, some protein, and tastes just as good as it is for your body! I notice a significant difference in my energy levels when I take this drink to work with me and it’s a great supplement for breakfast; otherwise, I’d wind up eating something quick and likely unhealthy.

  1. Combine all ingredients into blender and blend until shake is mixed well (I use a NutriBullet). The consistency should be somewhat runny, proving there are no chunks left.
